MEDELLIN | Colombia – February 2026 – Against the backdrop of rising football enthusiasm tied to the World Cup cycle, Epson showcased how its industrial printing technology powered professional football apparel and fan experiences during Colombiatex 2026. The company’s presence focused on helping Colombian textile and apparel manufacturers convert sports-driven demand into tangible business opportunities, from one-off personalization to high-volume garment production.
At the show, Epson unveiled a “Football Museum” experience and a stadium-scale graphic installation demonstrating how its technology was used to produce official club kits and large-format fan displays seen at national team matches. Highlighted solutions included DTFilm technology for customization, the SureColor V1070 UV flatbed printer for high-relief graphics and crests, and the SureColor T7770 adapted for screen-printing workflows.
According to Inexmoda’s Fashion Observatory, Colombia’s apparel market reached COP 5.78 trillion in the first two months of 2025, reflecting 5.55% year-over-year growth. Epson positioned sportswear—particularly football apparel—as a key driver of continued market expansion in 2026.
“Our goal was to capitalize on the global momentum of football and demonstrate that we offer a complete technology ecosystem,” said Juanita Agudelo, Sales and Marketing Manager for Industrial Business at Epson Colombia. “The same technology that ensured color accuracy and quality for professional Colombian football clubs was available to help local manufacturers grow during this high-demand season.”
Epson’s stand also featured its “Imparables” activation, inviting attendees to interact directly with the technology through live demonstrations, a giant jersey signing, and commemorative football giveaways for machinery buyers. Beyond sublimation, the company highlighted DTFilm as a fast-growing option for durable textile and accessory personalization, alongside UV and technical printing systems that expanded creative and production flexibility.
From a business perspective, Epson reported expectations to maintain double-digit growth in its industrial unit and reaffirm Colombia as its third most important market in Latin America. The company emphasized operational efficiency and sustainability, citing water-based inks, precision printheads, reduced ink waste, and consistent color performance as critical factors supporting both profitability and environmental responsibility in modern textile production.
