IRVINE | California – July 2024 – Leading wide-format digital imaging provider Roland DGA has announced that the EU-1000MF – Roland DG’s latest high-volume UV flatbed printer – now supports VersaWorks® 6 RIP software. All new EU-1000MF printers will now come bundled with VersaWorks 6, Roland DG’s most powerful and intuitive RIP software to date. With its simple drag-and-drop functionality, advanced tools and innovative features, VersaWorks 6 enables EU-1000MF users to get the most out of their devices, optimize output quality, and maximize productivity.

The EU-1000MF UV flatbed printer is uniquely designed for high-volume production, allowing users to print directly on a vast array of substrates and three-dimensional objects, including sheets up to 48” to 96” in size, at high speeds, without sacrificing image quality. Now, with included VersaWorks 6 software, users will benefit from the many advantages this state-of-the-art RIP provides, allowing for even greater overall performance, increased convenience, and unsurpassed graphic results. VersaWorks 6 boasts HARLEQUIN RIP dual core operation for even faster handling of complex PDF, EPS, and PS files with drop shadows and transparencies, native 64-bit processing, five print queues and five hot folders, plus the ability to store unlimited queue settings.

EU-1000MF users will also appreciate useful VersaWorks 6 features such as Special Color Plate Generation, which uses pixel data in the design to auto-generate a White, Metallic, Gloss, or Primer layer in the RIP; a predictive ink calculator that estimates the amount of ink needed, while the job log tracks ink use on media; detailed color matching with built-in Roland DG Color System and PANTONE libraries; advanced tiling, nesting, variable data, and color profiling tools, and more. In addition, VersaWorks 6 enables users to run up to four compatible Roland DG devices simultaneously with unparalleled ease and efficiency.

“Now that the fastest-printing UV flatbed within our lineup – the EU-1000MF – supports VersaWorks 6, users can expect to achieve even more output with less effort, while maintaining the same outstanding image quality,” said Roland DGA’s UV Printer Product Manager, Jay Roberts. “The versatility and impressive capabilities of the EU-1000MF, combined with the amazing tools and features within VersaWorks 6, will allow any print provider to take their business to the next level.”
