BIRMINGHAM | United Kingdom – October 2026 – Signs Display has strengthened its large-format production capability with the installation of an Agfa Tauro H2500 hybrid printing system, building on a technology partnership that began 15 years ago. Operating since 1993, the company serves retail, education, construction, and design agency clients with wide-format print, signage, and display solutions.
The new press operates alongside Signs Display’s two existing Agfa Titan printers, which were installed in 2010 and 2012 and remain in active production today.

Doubled Output Capacity Without Additional Shifts
Installed as an additional system rather than a replacement, the Agfa Tauro H2500 enables Signs Display to double its daily capacity within the same eight-hour working shift. Operating at speeds up to 390 square meters per hour, the hybrid system provides the rapid turnaround required by fast-moving commercial markets.
“We’ve effectively doubled our capacity overnight while keeping production within the same eight-hour shift,” said Shaun Hitchman, Operations Manager at Signs Display. “It wasn’t a rushed decision by any means. We had looked at the Tauro years ago and when we came back to market, it was still the machine we favoured. We felt the speed and versatility the machine provided would meet our needs and help the business to grow.”
Specialist Production and Workflow Efficiency
The addition of the Tauro H2500 introduces white ink capabilities and rigid/roll media flexibility, supported by Agfa’s Asanti workflow software for intelligent job routing. Key operational enhancements include:
Expanded Substrate Handling: Enables direct printing on clear self-adhesive vinyl, transparent materials, and specialist substrates for shaped graphics and display merchandise.
Accelerated Roll Processing: High-volume roll-to-roll jobs that previously required multiple days can now be processed in approximately half a day.
Energy-Efficient Curing: Integrated LED curing technology reduces energy consumption per unit of output compared to traditional UV curing systems.
Integrated Trade Solutions: Complements in-house acrylic fabrication and display component assembly to support end-to-end trade manufacturing.
