Smarter Workflows. Refined Usability. Bigger Possibilities.
SALT LAKE CITY | Utah – July 2025 – ONYX Graphics, Inc., the global leader in wide-format RIP and print workflow software, is proud to announce the official launch of ONYX 25, the newest version of its award-winning RIP platform. Designed with direct input from print professionals across the world, ONYX 25 delivers intelligent automation, deeper integration, and precision control—empowering print shops to scale operations, reduce errors, and maximize profitability.
“ONYX 25 is all about helping print professionals work smarter, not harder,” said Jonathan Rogers, International Marketing Manager at ONYX Graphics. “From powerful layout enhancements to expanded device support and smarter color control, this release is engineered for today’s fast-paced, high-demand print environments.”
At the heart of ONYX 25 is a completely modernized Layout Tool. With intuitive drag-and-drop functionality and real-time media previews, operators can now design single, double-sided, and jig-based prints faster and more accurately than ever. Key improvements include automated templates for jig and board printing, real-time previews with gutter marks, cut lines, and rotation controls, as well as interactive object alignment for precision placement.
ONYX 25 also introduces smarter media management with G7+ calibration for improved gray balance, tonal smoothing, and substrate adaptability. RGB profiles for proofing and simulation enhance output control, offering improved visual consistency across a wide range of media.
Print operators will benefit from greater output visibility and cost control thanks to live printer status updates within ONYX HUB and updated ink usage reporting with decimal-level precision. These enhancements enable faster decisions, reduce production downtime, and increase accuracy in job costing and estimations.
The user experience has also been upgraded, with faster workflows for high-resolution displays and simplified RIP-Queue history controls that eliminate the need for back-end management. ONYX Sync receives a significant update as well, with new endpoints for real-time job messaging, printer alerts, ink/media tracking, and system monitoring—making ONYX 25 the most connected ONYX software yet.
Staying true to its promise of continual innovation, ONYX 25 expands hardware compatibility to include the latest devices on the market. New supported equipment includes the Epson SD-10 and Barbieri Spectro LFP qb DPE spectrophotometers, updated cutters like the Graphtec CE8000, VICUT VFC90, ORIC 6090, and new printer drivers for the HP Latex R530 and 730/830 series.
Whether managing high-volume print production or expanding wide-format capabilities, ONYX 25 is designed to help print providers move faster, reduce waste, and elevate their output across every job. With smarter tools, streamlined workflows, and rock-solid reliability, ONYX 25 sets a new standard in RIP software performance.
