FLOWERY BRANCH, GA — March 3, 2026 —Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of the UJ330H-160 Hybrid UV-LED Inkjet Printer, the newest addition to the company’s flagship 330 Series of large-format printers. Designed to seamlessly handle both roll and rigid media in a single device, the new system is engineered to deliver high image quality, strong productivity, and flexible application capabilities for sign makers and commercial print providers.

The UJ330H-160 expands Mimaki’s hybrid production platform by enabling operators to quickly switch between roll and rigid output without the space requirements or capital investment typically associated with a dedicated 4×8 flatbed printer. Positioned as the “Next Standard” for graphics production environments, the system allows businesses to efficiently produce a wide range of applications using a single machine.

Hybrid Productivity for Roll and Rigid Media

The printer incorporates a newly developed belt-transport system designed to ensure stable output across a broad range of media types. Thin films and fabrics—often difficult to manage with conventional grit-roller systems—can be transported with consistent tension and minimal wrinkling, enabling applications such as window graphics, fabric signage, and exhibition booth graphics.

The transport system also provides strong stability for rigid materials. The printer’s Auto-Vacuum system combined with front and rear lock-roller units enables reliable handling of large substrates such as 4×8 aluminum composite panels and rigid boards up to 2 inches thick. This capability allows print providers to move sheet media production in-house rather than relying on mounting processes or outsourced flatbed printing.

High-Definition Output with Production Efficiency

The UJ330H-160 is equipped with a high-density print engine combining advanced printhead technology with Mimaki’s proprietary image-quality control systems. The platform delivers precise reproduction of both uniform solid areas and subtle tonal gradients while maintaining strong production speeds.

The printer achieves a practical throughput of approximately 150.6 ft² per hour, enabling vivid, high-impact graphics production while maintaining consistent quality across jobs.

Automatic calibration and adjustment features further simplify operation, ensuring repeatable print quality regardless of operator experience and improving overall production efficiency.

Advanced UV Printing Effects and Workflow Integration

The system integrates RasterLink7 RIP software, enabling advanced UV printing capabilities including multilayer printing, high-build effects, and gloss or matte finishes using clear ink. These features allow print providers to produce higher-value applications with enhanced visual and tactile effects.

Additionally, the printer connects with PICT, Mimaki’s cloud-based monitoring platform that provides real-time visibility into printer status and production performance. Together, these tools help streamline workflow management and improve operational efficiency across production environments.

Designed for Safety and Environmental Responsibility

The UV inks used with the UJ330H-160 are designed to be free of SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) and CMR substances, supporting a safer work environment for operators while anticipating evolving global environmental compliance standards.

Availability and Demonstration

Global sales of the UJ330H-160 Hybrid UV-LED Inkjet Printer are scheduled to begin in April 2026, with Mimaki projecting sales of approximately 400 units annually worldwide.

Mimaki USA will demonstrate the UJ330H-160 running live in Booth 2223 at the ISA Sign Expo 2026, taking place April 8–10 in Orlando, Florida.
