MHM Autriche restructure sa société

MÜHLGRABEN | Austria – December 2024 – Austrian screen printing manufacturer MHM has announced that “challenging” market conditions have forced it to restructure financially.

In a statement, it said it had turned to the Austrian government for support, applying for a legal restructuring programme that will see it manage its debts and “fully relaunch and reposition ourselves for the future”.

Proceedings are currently going through Innsbruck Regional Court but MHM stressed that the restructuring did not amount to filing for bankruptcy as reported in Austrian media.

MHM admitted that the restructuring had led to some delays in the delivery of spare parts, for which it apologised. It added that it was “working hard to minimise these disruptions” but warned it “may take some time for the restructuring process to be fully completed”.

“We want to assure you that our operations remain fully functional, and all orders are secure and will be fulfilled. In fact, this reorganisation will enable us to significantly reduce throughput and delivery times in the future, which will directly benefit you, our valued customers.”

The statement added: “Like many others around the world, we in Austria are facing significant challenges due to rising costs of raw materials, energy, increasing wages and global economic problems.

“During this challenging period, MHM has taken the opportunity to prepare for the future by expanding our portfolio. Over the next two to six months, we will introduce several new solutions to the market, including a ground-breaking innovation. We will communicate these developments shortly and are confident that our innovations will be well received.”

MHM, which distributes in the US through SPSI, was founded in 1980 and has become an international supplier of presses and other equipment for screen printing.
