Integrated Chromasphere Print Technology Delivers Industrial-Grade Performance in a Compact, Low-Maintenance Design
Rocky Hill | Conneticut – October 2025 – Direct Color Systems (DCS) is ushering in a new era of compact UV LED flatbed systems with the introduction of its MP Series, engineered for a wide range of applications and superior performance.
The MP Series leverages a negative-pressure ink delivery system, ensuring industrial-grade output with precise, high-resolution results every time. Its optimized design provides consistent ink delivery from start to finish, minimizing downtime and maintenance.
Most small-format UV printers rely on gravity-fed ink delivery systems—a setup that often leads to consumable print heads and intensive daily maintenance. The MP Series takes an advanced, integrated approach that eliminates the need for disposable print heads, capping stations, damper replacement, and rigid maintenance schedules.
At the core of this breakthrough is Chromasphere Print Technology (CPT™)—a complete, integrated ink system that unites print heads, ink delivery, and optimized ink chemistry into a single, cohesive solution. This design ensures trouble-free, precision printing while keeping daily operation straightforward and efficient.
CPT™ brings together solid, industrial printheads constructed of stainless steel with an advanced negative-pressure ink system that’s ready to perform when you are. With minimal daily or weekly maintenance, the printer can be fully operational within minutes from standby mode.
The new MP Series features two models—the UV-32MP and the UV-21MP—each built around DCS’s Chromasphere Print Technology. The UV-32MP, an intermediate-format 36” x 24” (60 cm x 90 cm) flatbed system, offers an impressive 12” (30 cm) maximum material height. The UV-21MP, a small-format 18” x 24” (46 cm x 61 cm) system, provides a 7” (18 cm) maximum material height.
Both systems deliver the full range of DCS specialty applications, including ADA-compliant Braille and textured printing, while opening the door to new creative and industrial uses. True to its name, MP stands for Multi-Purpose, reflecting its design philosophy: from yard signs produced in seconds to complex direct-to-object printing, the MP Series combines flexibility with industrial-level reliability and performance.
