The HydrAton 1642 represents a new chapter in wide-format printing. This printer features a revolutionary print and dry technology, along with a unique ink film formation process on the printed media. This innovation is the result of a collaborative effort between Mutoh Japan’s large-format printer R&D division and Fujifilm’s AQUAFUZE™ ink technology team.

The Power of AQUAFUZE™ Ink

The synergy between the HydrAton 1642 and AQUAFUZE™ ink unlocks a multitude of possibilities for sign and print businesses. Featuring two AccuFine piezo drop-on-demand print heads, the HydrAton 1642 delivers exceptional versatility, printing on a vast array of substrates without pre-treatment. This includes paper, synthetic fabrics, technical textiles, heat-sensitive eco-friendly materials, and even PVC. The resulting prints boast a very thin ink film with a soft feel and impressive scratch resistance.

Sustainable and Safe Printing

Fujifilm’s patented AQUAFUZE™ ink technology merges the advantages of UV LED and water-based inkjet technologies into a single ink formulation. This translates to low-temperature drying and exceptional jetting stability. Additionally, the inks are low-odor and safety compliant, making them ideal for indoor printing environments.
