By investing in Canon’s Colorado M5–powered UVgel Wallpaper Factory, Livette’s Wallpaper accelerates high-volume, customized wallpaper production while enhancing durability, creative effects, and global scalability.

RIGA | Latvia – February 2026Livette’s Wallpaper has strengthened production speed, durability, and creative capability with the installation of a Canon UVgel Wallpaper Factory, built around the Colorado M5 roll-to-roll printer, enabling the company to meet rising global demand while maintaining premium quality and customization.

Founded in 2014 by Liva Mikelsone-Cudova and Jānis Čudovs, Livette’s Wallpaper produces high-quality, customizable wallpapers for commercial and residential customers primarily in the U.S. and Canada, with expanding reach across the UK and Europe. As demand accelerated, the company faced increasing pressure around turnaround times, color consistency, durability, and scalable personalization.

To address these challenges, Livette’s invested in Canon’s modular UVgel Wallpaper Factory, selecting the Colorado M5 for its combination of high productivity, durability, and automation. The system delivers odourless, instant-dry UVgel inks with exceptional scratch resistance and no need for lamination, while supporting intricate designs and special effects that align with current wallpaper trends.

“The speed of a printer is really important so we can be competitive and, in the case of the Canon Colorado M5, it is as productive as two to three other printers,” said Liva Mikelsone-Cudova, Co-Founder and Creative Director at Livette’s Wallpaper.

With production speeds of up to 159 m² per hour, the Colorado M5 has significantly increased efficiency and expanded Livette’s product range, including the development of new metallic wallpaper finishes such as gold, silver, and pearl. The company also plans to add an onsite-upgradeable white ink channel to further enhance creative flexibility.

“Durability and speed were the two things we were looking for in a printer, and Canon was able to deliver them,” added Mikelsone-Cudova. “We’re very happy with the performance of the Colorado—and it’s a very cool-looking printer.”

The investment has not only future-proofed Livette’s core production but has also created additional capacity, allowing the company to produce wallpapers and related products for third-party retailers as a new revenue stream.

“We’ve been producing wallpaper for almost ten years and our goal has always been to grow and offer our customers the best quality,” said Jānis Čudovs, Co-Founder and CEO of Livette’s Wallpaper. “That’s why we’re constantly looking for new ways to improve our products and our business.”
