BERLIN | Germany – May 2025 – Fujifilm unveiled three major innovations for the wide format print market at FESPA Berlin 2025, marking its first appearance at the show since 2023. The company announced the commercial launch of the HS3000 single pass solution and the Acuity Triton with AQUAFUZE™ ink technology, while also showcasing the Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro with full automation.
Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro: High-Production Flexibility
The Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro was designed for print businesses seeking maximum versatility across long, short, or ultra-short runs, whether on roll or rigid media. With its ‘quick run’ function and integrated small roll system, users could easily switch between formats on the fly.
Equipped with patented Fujifilm ink technology, the printer ensured strong adhesion on various substrates, while a 3.5 picolitre drop size delivered sharp print quality with low ink consumption. Its 3.3m print width and up to 32 Kyocera printheads supported high-volume, precise output, enhanced by a CMYK + Lc Lm W configuration.
The printer also featured a robust automation system that enabled full pallet-to-pallet operation by a single operator, with options for full or half automation to optimize production speed and workflow.
The Acuity Ultra Hybrid Pro was announced as commercially available shortly after the event.
Fujifilm & Barberan: HS Series Single Pass Solutions
Fujifilm and Barberan jointly introduced a new single pass inkjet platform to serve the ultra-high production segment. The HS6000 supported speeds up to 6000 sqm/hr, while the newly launched HS3000 offered a more compact, cost-effective alternative—extending single pass capabilities to a wider audience.
The HS Series incorporated 600dpi resolution printheads and 5pl droplet sizes, setting a new benchmark for quality and throughput. With modular configurations—up to 216 possible combinations—the system could be tailored to specific business needs, from manual feeding at 600 boards/hr to automated output at 2000 boards/hr.
Multiple ink sets were available for varied applications, with many requiring no primer, helping reduce costs, energy use, and environmental impact.
Acuity Triton Featuring AQUAFUZE Technology
Fujifilm officially launched AQUAFUZE, its groundbreaking ink technology developed over a decade. This hybrid ink solution combines the benefits of UV LED and water-based inkjet, offering excellent adhesion across media, fast drying at low temperatures, and no primer or top coat required.
With low-odour output, reduced energy consumption, and improved jetting stability, AQUAFUZE represented a sustainable and user-friendly alternative to conventional water-based inks.
AQUAFUZE was introduced through the debut of the Acuity Triton, a 1.6m printer manufactured in Japan by Mutoh and engineered to deliver 15 sqm/hr with instant drying, allowing for seamless finishing. Its energy efficiency and low-maintenance design made it ideal for businesses of all sizes.
The Triton will be rolled out in phases globally, depending on dealership agreements. Fujifilm invited both dealers and wide-format customers to engage at FESPA.
David Burton, Director, Fujifilm WFIJ Systems, commented: “We were delighted to return to FESPA after two years, introducing unique solutions for the high-volume, industrial sign and display market. Our two-stand approach reflected the diverse needs of our customers. At Fujifilm, we don’t rush to market—we listen, evaluate, and respond with purpose-built, future-ready technology. These three new solutions are set to become industry benchmarks.”
