LUTZ | Florida – February 2026 — ColorByte Software today announced the release of ImagePrint UV with Pedestal AI, the first RIP software platform to offer AI-powered 2.5D imaging for UV printing, enabling photo-realistic texture creation directly from standard image and graphic files.
Pedestal AI analyzes flat artwork and automatically generates accurate height maps and texture depth, transforming two-dimensional images into dimensional UV prints without manual channel creation or texture mapping. The technology operates natively within the RIP, allowing users to produce consistent 2.5D output with minimal setup.
ImagePrint UV supports common file formats including TIFF, JPG, PSD, PNG, PDF, and SVG, outputting fully rendered textured prints optimized for UV production workflows.
As the first RIP to integrate AI-driven 2.5D imaging, ImagePrint UV manages spot color channels and layered ink builds in real time, eliminating guesswork and reducing operator intervention. Automated height calculations ensure repeatable results across production runs.
Fast Texture Modes optimize available ink channels to reduce print times while maintaining detail and surface definition. Finish options include White, Black, or Clear ink configurations, providing flexibility across decorative, signage, and functional print applications.
ImagePrint UV with Pedestal AI also delivers engineered support for Braille and ADA signage, producing precise, durable dot formation through RIP-level translation and controlled ink layering.
“ImagePrint UV is especially powerful for Braille and ADA signage, where precision and consistency are non-negotiable,” said John Pannozzo, President of ColorByte Software. “By controlling height, spacing, and ink build at the RIP level using an engineered dot, we’re enabling print providers to produce compliant tactile signage efficiently, repeatably, and at true production scale.”
Integrated cut path creation allows automatic generation of cut lines for laser, drag knife, and tabletop cutting systems, supporting streamlined finishing workflows.
Applications include fine art reproduction, dimensional décor, tactile signage, raised logos, apparel patches, and accessibility signage, expanding creative and commercial opportunities for UV print providers.
Supported printers include Mimaki UJF-3042, UJF-6042, JFX-200, JFX-200EX, and Fluid Color flatbed systems.
