CHAMBERSBURG | Pennsylvania – June 2025 – American Print Consultants (APC), a leading distributor of wide-format printers, supplies, color management solutions, service, textile, and apparel decoration equipment, is proud to announce the official North American launch of the Polyprint Filmjet production Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing system.
The Filmjet sets a new benchmark in high-volume DTF production, offering a fully enclosed, all-in-one system that combines innovation, automation, and safety. Designed and manufactured in Europe, the Filmjet integrates state-of-the-art features including constant film tension, vacuum powder recycling, and air knife powder removal, ensuring clean operation, seamless media handling, and consistently superior output.
Built for industrial-scale performance, the Filmjet is an ideal solution for shops running multiple DTF units or high-output apparel decoration facilities transitioning into DTF. Its Smart System Controls automate the full production cycle—from printing to curing—reducing manual intervention and minimizing downtime. Features such as static mitigation, precise media alignment, ink agitation, white ink circulation, and automated powder application and recovery allow for efficient, uninterrupted operation with reduced labor and material waste.
“We’ve partnered with Polyprint on their direct-to-garment solutions, so when they approached us with the Filmjet concept, we knew it would be a game-changer,” said Rob Almstrom, Partner at APC. “As DTF continues to evolve, production facilities are forced to operate multiple systems to keep up with demand, which increases labor and floor space requirements. The Filmjet streamlines that with unmatched efficiency. It can print up to two 328-ft rolls per 8-hour shift with minimal operator involvement. From its fully enclosed powder containment system to auto-shutdown safety features, Filmjet was built with real-world production in mind.”
“For decades, Polyprint has led innovation in garment decoration, pioneering DTG and now redefining DTF,” said Kostis Gounaris, Business Development, Polyprint. “The Filmjet is backed by complete after-sales support including installation, training, ICC profiling, and technical assistance. APC’s deep expertise in textile printing and their customer-centric approach make them the perfect partner to introduce Filmjet to the North American market.”
In addition to the Filmjet, APC offers full turnkey DTF production and finishing solutions. A Filmjet demo unit is available now at APC’s Chambersburg, PA facility, with a DTF Demo Day to be announced soon.
