Built for Sustainable Performance
AQUAFUZE™ ink offers low odor, low VOC output and is classified as GHS hazard-free, requiring no hazard pictograms. The formulation also meets GREENGUARD Gold certification standards for indoor air quality.
The HydrAton 1642 uses two AccuFine HD print heads and i-Screen dot control technology to produce detailed output with reduced banding at production speeds. It supports a range of indoor graphics and soft signage applications including wall coverings, point-of-sale displays, window graphics, and décor. Light-duty vehicle wraps are also supported.
“The HydrAton represents more than a new printer; it’s a step forward for the entire industry,” said Brian Phipps, President of MUTOH America, Inc. “Print providers are under increasing pressure to align with sustainability goals, and this solution delivers, without compromise of performance or quality.”
The printer operates at drying temperatures between 86°F and 122°F, enabling printing on heat-sensitive media while reducing energy consumption compared to latex- and solvent-based systems. AQUAFUZE™ ink does not require primers or overcoats, and its thin ink film is designed to provide durability and scratch resistance without additional finishing steps.
Standard automation features include DropMaster 2 for bi-directional alignment, FeedMaster for media feed control, and Media Tracker for material usage tracking. The printer runs on MUTOH’s VerteLith™ RIP software.
