ATLANTA | GEORGIA – August 1, 2025 – Softwear Automation, a pioneer in autonomous sewing technology, has closed a $20 million Series B1 funding round, marking a significant milestone in its mission to transform global sewn goods manufacturing. The round was led by a strategic investment from BESTSELLER, the Danish fashion group behind brands including JACK & JONES, VERO MODA, and ONLY, through its Invest FWD innovation and sustainability platform. Current investors — including CTW Venture Partners, SRI Capital, and MacDonald Ventures — also participated.

As part of the collaboration, Thomas Børglum Jensen, CFO of BESTSELLER, has joined Softwear Automation’s board of directors. The appointment comes as the company accelerates commercialization of its fully automated SEWBOT® worklines.

“This partnership with BESTSELLER and the support from Invest FWD are not just a vote of confidence in our technology — they are a powerful catalyst for the future of on-demand, localized, and more sustainable apparel manufacturing,” said Palaniswamy “Raj” Rajan, Chairman and CEO of Softwear Automation.

Softwear Automation’s patented SEWBOT® technology enables fully autonomous sewing, allowing products to be manufactured closer to the consumer while reducing waste, improving cycle times, and enhancing cost-efficiency. Proceeds from the Series B1 will be used to expand into new product categories and geographies, strengthen R&D, and scale production capacity to meet growing global demand.

From BESTSELLER, Thomas Børglum Jensen added: “At BESTSELLER, we look for innovations that can drive progress in the fashion industry, where change is urgently needed. Softwear Automation is addressing critical challenges — from speed and flexibility to lowering environmental impact. We are pleased to support their development and explore how this technology can help us move forward.”

The partnership aligns with BESTSELLER’s wider sustainability goals, including reducing supply chain impact and increasing transparency. Together, Softwear Automation and BESTSELLER aim to drive circular, demand-driven production practices powered by SEWBOT® technology.

With new funding and a global fashion leader at its side, Softwear Automation is positioned to lead the next era of apparel manufacturing — one that is faster, more sustainable, and closer to the consumer.
