DGI and Dgen showcase their products together and launch three new models.

Inkjet printer innovator DGI unveiled its latest offerings at the highly anticipated FESPA Global Print Expo this past week. Among the highlights were the Hercules II and Poseidon II printers, alongside the European debut of the Presto model.

This occasion marks a significant milestone as it is the first time DGI and Dgen, which DGI acquired last year, are jointly showcasing their products at such a prominent event.

The Hercules II and Poseidon II represent advancements over their predecessors, boasting enhanced user-friendliness and significantly increased printing speeds. The Hercules II, equipped with four Epson printheads, is a four-color dye-sublimation roll-to-roll printer capable of printing at speeds of up to 130sqm/hr, with a maximum media width of 1.62m.

On the other hand, the Poseidon II excels in roll-to-roll dye-sublimation printing, offering remarkable speeds of up to 760sqm/hr. Utilizing Kyocera printheads and supporting up to eight colors, this printer caters to diverse printing needs, including blueback paper for billboards and sublimation inks for transfer paper applications.

Additionally, making its European debut, the Presto direct-to-package printer targets users seeking customization options for their packaging needs. The Presto printer accommodates media up to 100mm thick and operates at speeds of up to 27m/min, with a maximum printing size of 297x910mm.

All three printers are commercially available, with pricing described as competitive and accessible to a wide range of customers. These innovations underscore DGI’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving demands of the printing industry.
