Lawson’s UV DTF Inks Achieve CPSIA and Prop 65 Certification, Ensuring Safety for Children’s Products

by Staff

SAINT LOUIS | Missouri – October 2024 – Lawson Screen & Digital proudly announces that its UV DTF inks have officially gained certification under the Consumer Product Safety and Improvement Act (CPSIA) and California Proposition 65. These certifications confirm that Lawson’s UV DTF supplies meet stringent safety regulations, especially regarding products intended for children.

The CPSIA requires businesses to provide a General Conformity Certificate (GCC) that verifies products meet all applicable safety standards. It also mandates third-party testing for children’s products to ensure their safety. California’s Proposition 65 further sets out specific requirements regarding the toxicity of materials used in products sold in the state, spanning textiles, hard goods, toys, juvenile products, and electrical and electronic items.

Lawson’s UV DTF inks have passed all mandatory safety tests, ensuring they are safe for use across the United States, including in California, where strict regulations apply to chemical content in consumer goods.

“Our customers can be confident that Lawson’s UV DTF inks are fully compliant with the latest safety standards,” said Taylor Landesman, Vice President at Lawson Screen & Digital. “This certification underscores our commitment to providing high-quality, safe printing supplies, including for products intended for children.”
