IRVINE | California<\/strong> – August 2025 –<\/strong> <\/span>Roland\u00a0DGA, a leading provider of wide-format inkjet printers and printer\/cutters worldwide, has announced the availability of a new software application \u2013\u00a0Roland DG Connect Designer\u00a0\u2013 that enables\u00a0Roland DG\u00a0printer users to easily\u00a0design\u00a0print-ready graphics optimized for output on their devices.<\/p>\n

As part of\u00a0Roland DG Connect, a set of software tools that empowers users\u2019 businesses and optimizes every step of their workflow with\u00a0Roland DG\u00a0printers, the\u00a0Designer\u00a0application (which comes with the free Basic\u00a0Roland DG Connect\u00a0plan) offers three key functions. The first is easy-to-use\u00a0design\u00a0creation for novice users, such as in-store workers or small business owners, who may be unfamiliar with professional applications.\u00a0Roland DG Connect Designer\u00a0accomplishes this by significantly simplifying the\u00a0design\u00a0process as well as supplying an extensive library of images, shapes, fonts, and illustrations.<\/p>\n

A second function is the generation of automated print settings. Instead of having to set detailed print settings in the dedicated VersaWorks 7 RIP software running the printer,\u00a0Roland DG Connect Designer\u00a0produces the necessary print settings automatically during the\u00a0design\u00a0phase and enables printing to begin immediately once the job is sent to the printer, allowing for a faster, more streamlined workflow.<\/p>\n

A third set of capabilities allows for the unique functions of various printers to be incorporated into the\u00a0design\u00a0by utilizing modules specific to each device. With\u00a0Roland DG Connect Designer, users can choose to add the desired\u00a0design\u00a0features made possible by their printer and work requirements, and install only the functions they require, for a simpler and more cost-effective operation. Initially, for users of the new DA-640 dimensional surface printer, a DIMENSE module offers preset embossing effects, file preparation, and visualization for creating textured output on the DA-640.<\/p>\n
